Nursing Home Jobs and Employment

Nursing Home Jobs are for nurses who manage the nursing care for residents with medical and physiological conditions ranging from a hip fracture to Alzheimer's disease. Although nursing home nurses often spend much of their time on administrative and supervisory tasks, RNs also assess residents' health condition, interface with physicians, develop treatment plans, supervise licensed practical nurses as well as nursing aides or assistants and perform vital procedures such as starting intravenous fluids. They also work in specialty-care departments, such as long-term rehabilitation units for patients with strokes and head-injuries. Nursing home jobs are expected to continue to increase in the coming years as our population ages and the care requirement increases. More nursing home and assisted living facilities are being built which will create additional employment opportunities for nursing home nurses, nursing assistants and other allied health care professionals.
